Medicare Referrals: How They Work
Medicare can help make accessing our services more affordable. Here’s what you need to know:
Eligibility
To access a Medicare rebate, you need a referral from your General Practitioner (GP) under a Chronic Disease Management (CDM) Plan. This plan is often used for long-term or complex health conditions.
What’s Covered
Medicare provides rebates for up to 5 allied health sessions per calendar year under a CDM plan. These sessions can be split across different services (e.g., physiotherapy and exercise physiology).
The rebate amount is approximately $58.00 per session, which is processed back into your bank account after payment.
Using Your Referral at Rebound Health
Book your first appointment: Provide us with your GP referral letter and CDM plan.
Pay for your session in full at the time of your appointment.
We will process your Medicare rebate electronically, and the rebate will be sent directly to your bank account.
Please note: The referral is specific to the allied health services outlined in your GP’s plan.
Payment Options
We accept EFTPOS, credit cards, and HICAPS for private health claims.
